Lubos Kubik – Founder & CEO

Lubos Kubik Jr. is a former soccer player who worked and studied in the Czech Republic and the United States of America and is a citizen of both countries. As one of the few, he had the unique opportunity to get to know the top environment and backstage of soccer thanks to his father, who played and coached at the world’s highest level, including the American Major League Soccer (MLS) or, for example, the Czechoslovak and Czech national teams. Luboš Kubík Jr. started with soccer at the academy in Pardubice and gradually played amateur, university and professional soccer in the USA. Outside of soccer, he studied Sports Management at the Pennsylvania Western University and worked in the MLS club Philadelphia Union in the marketing and events department. Now he helps other athletes and especially soccer players to follow their careers to the USA’s universities, high school academies and professional clubs.

Luboš Kubík Jr. was born in France in the city of Metz, but grew up in Pardubice, where he finished elementary school and started high school at the Sports Gymnasium. In Pardubice, he also represented the football club FK Pardubice in the youth category. He moved to the US in 2011 and completed his high school education at Theodore Roosevelt High School in Des Moines, Iowa. In the city of Des Moines, he also started playing for the Des Moines Menace Soccer Club (USL 2), where he first got to know adult soccer, for which he played from 2012-2016.

After high school in 2012, he began studying sports management at California University of Pennsylvania (now Pennsylvania Western University), where he gained hands-on experience in amateur and professional sports behind the scenes. He had the opportunity to work with the following teams: Pittsburgh Steelers (NFL), Pittsburgh Pirates (MLB), Pittsburgh Penguins (NHL), Philadelphia Union (MLS), Columbus Crew (MLS) and Philadelphia Flyers (NHL). On the soccer side, Luboš represented the school for 4 years in NCAA Division 2, where he received regional and conference awards.

In his last semester of college, he completed a sports internship for 4 months at the Philadelphia Union, an MLS club. At the time of his internship, he was part of Philadelphia’s reserve team, which was called Bethlehem Steel F.C. (now Philadelphia Union II). After considering the situation, Luboš decided to continue developing soccer in the USA from behind the scenes of Major League Soccer at the Philadelphia Union, where he played an important role in the marketing and promotion of the sport and the team in and around the city of Philadelphia.

For more than 7 years, he has been helping and mentoring many young athletes who want to continue their sports career in the USA and combine studies with sports at the highest level, get to know a new culture and enrich their lives.
