Martin Hašek
Martin Hašek, born in 1969 in Pardubice, has been playing football and hockey since his youth. While his brother Dominik became a hockey goalkeeping legend, Martin chose football. He played for Pardubice, Cheb and Liberec before joining Sparta Prague, with whom he won five championship titles.
As a defensive midfielder, he excelled in physical readiness and technique. He played for the national team, playing for Austria and Russia, and his statistics boast 6 league wins, 28 Champions League starts and a gold medal at the 1993 World Universiade.
After finishing his playing career, he became a coach. He obtained a UEFA professional license and led Sparta to the title in the 2009/2010 season. After that, he worked with Spartan youth and nurtured a number of talents. He also coached Pardubice, Vlašim, Bohemians Praha 1905, Ústí nad Labem and Zbrojovka Brno.
Martin is also the managing director of the Hašánek Free Kindergarten.
