Luboš Kubík St.

Luboš Kubík Sr. is a former Czech football player and coach who represented Czechoslovakia and the Czech Republic. During his playing career he played abroad for Fiorentina in Italy, FC Metz in France, 1. FC Nuremberg in Germany and in the USA for Chicago Fire and Dallas Burn. In the Czech Republic he played for SK Slavia Praha, Hradec Králové, Drnovice and Lázně Bohdaneč. He represented Czechoslovakia from 1985-1993 and the Czech Republic from 1994-1997, scoring 13 goals in 56 matches.

As a coach, he led Śląsk Wrocław in Poland and Torquay United in England. In 2010, he was an assistant coach for the USA at the World Cup in South Africa. His greatest achievements include silver at EURA 1996, winning the 1998 MLS Cup and two US Open Cups with the Chicago Fire.
